There is a very interesting connection between the Coral Springs community’s history and Xceed Preparatory Academy. Everyone knows about the family atmosphere, thriving businesses, amenities, and exceptional schools in Coral Springs. But did you know that just over 50 years ago, this area was completely farmland and pasture for cattle? We are one of the first and most successful planned cities in the state.
And that same spirit of innovation is at the heart of everything we are about at XPA. We gathered seasoned educators and experts to redesign the school experience so it would work for each student and family’s needs and goals.
Education is changing rapidly in our country. We already are where everyone else will be going.
Our students see that immediately. And, parents who want a more personalized, flexible, progressive model of learning for their children quickly recognize the value of what we have built.
We chose Xceed as a transition from homeschooling because of its culture of acceptance amongst the students, faculty, and staff and for the flexibility. Our son has medical issues so Xceed offers him the option to drop in and out, if needed, or work from home if he is not feeling well.
Whether he is at home or at the Coral Springs campus, we can be sure that he is getting the same high level of attention and academic support from his teachers. Tracy has done an excellent job figuring out how to include him in activities virtually.

About Our Coral Springs Campus
Xceed has four school locations and each of our campuses has a unique sense of community and character. The Head of School and other Xceed educators take a personal interest in getting to know each student. They work together to build a plan for learning that will help them thrive.
Tracy Smith is the Head of School for our Coral Springs campus. She has served as an administrator, academic coach, instructor, and program manager in both the public and private domains, right here in Broward County. She was twice nominated for Teacher of the Year (2004 and 2005) in part for her work with students in integrated classrooms. Since 2006, she has led various innovative efforts on the ground floor of online education.
