President of Education Wins National Award

Xceed’s President of Education, Affiliates Division, Betty Norton, was recently honored as the 2022 WIN Woman of the Year by the WIN Summit.

WIN showcases leaders from across the country and world who embrace the skill of negotiation and advocacy to break down barriers for women: women who are champions for female empowerment within their organization and/or in their personal life.

Betty exemplifies this in her role at Xceed. Her nomination included the following comments:

“Betty’s strong desire to help as many students as possible find and get the education they deserve traces back to her roots in working in Title I schools. She is not only an advocate for children, but also, as a proud Latina, an advocate to help more Latinx educators rise into academic administration.”

“Betty is truly remarkable, unflappable, kind and innovative. Her work ethic and drive are difficult to match, and any student, parent or educator who has the opportunity to interact with her, is made to feel like the most important person in the room.”

Betty first began at Xceed as Head of School for our Coral Springs campus and then moved to Xceed Preparatory Academy Virtual School where she launched our virtual program. She was then promoted to her current role, overseeing academics for our affiliates and sports academies.

“Betty was our second employee hire at Xceed,” said Dr. Brent Goldman, CEO and co-founder of Xceed Preparatory Academy. “She is a tremendous leader who is instrumental to our growth, and we are thrilled the WIN Summit recognized her achievements.”
