Xceed Students and DME Academy’s Girls’ Basketball Team Showcased on ESPNU
On Friday, March 31st, the girls’ basketball team from DME Academy did something no other DME girls’ team had done before: played at the GEICO High School Nationals.
Ranked 14th in the nation by MaxPreps with a 26-3 record, the DME girls traveled to Fort Myers in the first-ever appearance of the program in the invitation-only tournament. The GEICO High School Nationals brings together the country’s elite basketball teams.
Although the girls lost to eventual champion, Montverde Academy, in the semi-finals, we are so proud of their hard work, commitment and accomplishment.
