Xceed Preparatory Academy helps students in grades 6–12 learn in a way that fits their lives. We offer flexible, college-prep academics for young performers who need school to work around rehearsals, auditions, travel, and other commitments.
Young performers often have busy schedules filled with rehearsals, auditions, shows, competitions, and travel. Many of these commitments happen during the school day. They can also grow heavier around performances or change with little notice.
Xceed Preparatory Academy Kendall/Pinecrest gives students in grades 6–12 a flexible college-prep option that works alongside serious artistic goals. You can keep acting, dancing, making music, performing in theatre, or doing other artistic work outside school while we handle the academic program.
Balancing School with Rehearsals, Auditions and Performances
We use personalized schedule planning to help you organize school around your regular arts commitments. Training, rehearsals, and other responsibilities can be part of your academic week. You don’t have to follow the same daily schedule as every other student.
You’ll still be responsible for your coursework, deadlines, and progress. But having more control over your school day can make daytime auditions and professional opportunities easier to manage. If you need to leave for a callback, go to a weekday rehearsal, or travel for a few days, you may have more room to adjust without missing the same classes again and again.
Keeping College-Prep Academics on Track
Serious performing arts commitments don’t have to push your long-term academic goals aside. We offer a college-prep curriculum. Eligible students can also pursue honors, Advanced Placement, and dual-enrollment coursework as they move through middle and high school.
Your course choices can consider both your academic goals and the time you need for outside training and performances. Some performers want challenging classes in several subjects. Others may need to be more selective during a demanding season. A student preparing for an intensive production, for example, may plan courses differently from someone whose outside schedule stays fairly steady.
You’ll still need to complete the courses and requirements that move you toward graduation, even when your outside schedule is unusual. As training or professional work becomes more demanding, course planning can help your family see what you need academically and how much time you realistically have for outside opportunities.
Your plans after high school may include college, more arts training, professional performance, or a field unrelated to the arts. College counseling can help you choose courses with those possibilities in mind and keep options open if your plans or interests change.

Academic Support During Rehearsals, Auditions and Performances
An upcoming production may bring longer rehearsals just as a major assignment is due. A callback can change your week with little notice. Travel may also take you away from your usual routine for several days.
You’ll also have access to teachers when coursework gets difficult or you need help with an assignment. If you need support with organization, planning, or managing your workload, executive-function guidance can be added. As you take on more responsibility, you may need to keep track of school deadlines along with changing rehearsal and travel plans.
Supporting Performers with Different Goals
A dancer training several mornings a week may need something different from an actor whose schedule changes around auditions and productions. Musicians, theatre students, and working performers may each have their own patterns of training, travel, and performance.
Someone preparing for a college arts program may be balancing school with portfolio preparation, auditions, or intensive training. A student working professionally may need daytime availability or time to travel. Another student may simply want enough flexibility to take part in an outside arts program without falling behind in school.
Our artist and performer resources address the academic needs of students pursuing serious artistic interests. Personalized schedule planning can consider those outside commitments while you keep working toward graduation and preparing for your next step.
